Building Trees and Hacking Communications

Yaakov S. Weinstein, MITRE

Nielsen Physics Bldg., Room 307

Monday, February 10

Talk: 11 – 12

Pizza: 12 – 1

At MITRE we research, explore, and analyze all aspects of quantum information science so as to solve problems for a safer world. In this talk I will discuss cluster state quantum computation and specifically how to build its most basic fault-tolerant component, a tree cluster. In addition, I will present some experimental work on cracking supposedly secure quantum key distribution systems.
